WordPress development, white-label and direct

Block themes built from a design file, content modelled so editors can work without a developer, and migrations off page builders that nobody on the team can safely touch.

What I do on WordPress

Three service areas. Most of this work arrives through studios rather than direct.

01

Block themes from a design file

A native block theme built from your Figma file. No page builder, no framework tax, and an editor your client can actually use without breaking the layout.

  • theme.json set up so the design system is enforced, not suggested
  • Custom blocks where a pattern will not do
  • Editor experience treated as part of the build, not an afterthought
  • Handed back documented, for your team to maintain

02

ACF content modelling

The part that decides whether a site is still usable in two years. Content types modelled around how the team publishes, rather than how the first template happened to be built.

  • Post types, taxonomies and field groups planned before any templating
  • Editors publish without touching layout or code
  • Field structure documented and version-controlled
  • Migration of existing content into the new model

03

Migration and rescue

Sites locked into a page builder, sites on an abandoned theme, sites where the only person who understood it has left. Rebuilt on native blocks with no loss of layout.

  • Page builder to native blocks, layout preserved
  • Plugin reduction with a before and after list
  • Takeover of an undocumented or half-finished build
  • Security and update backlog cleared

Questions I get asked

Do you build with a page builder?

No. Native block themes, or classic themes with ACF where a block theme is the wrong fit. If you are already on Elementor or WPBakery I will migrate you off it rather than build more inside it.

Can you work white-label under our studio?

Yes. Most of my WordPress work runs that way. Your project tool, your client relationship, your brand on everything. I do not contact your client and I do not appear in the credits unless you want me to.

Block themes or ACF?

Block theme when the client needs to compose pages themselves and the design system can be expressed in theme.json. ACF when the content is structured and repeated, such as a directory, a case study archive or an events calendar, and editors should not be laying anything out at all.

Most real projects are both, and deciding which part is which is the first thing worth doing.

Do you take on maintenance?

Monthly retainers with capped hours, covering updates, backups, small changes and a fixed response time. I do not offer emergency-only cover for sites I have never seen.
